The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

On 1/10/22 Clayton W. Foster age 54 of Auburn IL was arrested for Retail Theft

Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle accident on January 12th. Donna Heninger of Taylorville exited Walmart Parking Lot onto IL Route 29 to travel southeast. Jeffery Hembree of Xenia was traveling southeast on IL Route 29 on the inside lane of traffic. Hembree stated that Heninger made a lane change from the outside lane into the side of his van. Heninger was unable to describe what occurred in the crash in detail.  No injuries were reported. 

On January 12th, at 7 PM, a semitruck was stuck near the viaduct near the intersection of Paw Paw Street and Park Street in Taylorville. While assisting the semi, police noticed a person who was on foot, Brett D. Thunhorst. Thunhorst was struck by Christopher J. Gideon of Mechanicsburg. Thonhurst reported minor injuries but refused medical.
