Area Arrests And Accidents 10/29/21

Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional radio News;

 

10-27-21 Ryan Dial 35 was arrested by CCSO for violating an order of protection.

 

10-28-21 Gilbert Neal 51 was arrested by Assumption PD for possession of methamphetamine, meth delivery and unlawful use of property.

 

10-28-21 Johnathon Coady 37 was arrested by Assumption PD for possession of methamphetamine, meth delivery and unlawful use of property.

 

10-28-21 Kendra Monts 41 was arrested by CCSO for violation of an order of protection.    

 

Taylorville Police reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

On 10/26/21 Jerry L. Burton age 50 of Taylorville was arrested for a warrant and Possession of methamphetamine

 

On 10/26/21 Nickolas D. Rabideau age 34 of Springfield IL was arrested for a warrant

 

On 10/26/21 Ashley M. Gaines age 23 of Springfield IL was arrested for retail theft

 

Johanna D. Owen of Taylorville was slowing in traffic for a car turning on Briarcliff Road off of Spresser.  A minor was behind Owen and said they didn’t notice traffic slowing and when the minor did realize it, they hit the gas instead of the brake. No injuries were reported. 

 

Jason Williams of Taylorville and Ross H. Gent of Charleston were both turning right from Park Street to Webster Street.  Gent was stopped yielding to traffic when Williams struck Gent in the rear.  No reports of injuries and both units drove from the scene.  Williams was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. 

 

Richard L. McConnell of Taylorville and a minor from Taylorville were heading south on Cheney Street in the 600 block. McConnell slowed to turn into his driveway and the minor struck the rear of McConnell’s vehicle. A passenger in McConnell’s vehicle complained of neck pain but refused EMS.  The minor was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. 

 

Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle accident on October 26th. Karen S. Willer of Taylorville was traveling southbound on Sandy Duncan Drive. William Hill was traveling westbound on East Bidwell Street in a school bus. Willer stated she stopped at the stop sign and was looking for oncoming traffic. She says she was blinded by the sunlight and didn’t see Hill in the intersection. She entered the intersection striking the bus. Hill along with two students were uninjured. Willer’s vehicle was towed and she was issued a citation. 

 

At 5:31, on October 26th, police responded to a two car accident at Route 104 and Route 29 in Taylorville. Mary Vaughn of Stonington was proceeding northwest through the intersection of Route 104 when they applied the brakes. William E. Heiple of Tovey struck the back of Vaughn’s vehicle. Heiple received a citation for operating an uninsured vehicle.
