Area Arrests And Accidents 09/30/21

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

09-24-21 Levi Denton 33 was in Prairieton Township when the vehicle struck a deer. No injuries. No tow.

 

09-29-21 Brian Johnson 29 and Mark Bilyeu 64 were involved in a traffic crash in Assumption Township. Johnson was traveling northbound on 2300 East Road. Bilyeu was traveling westbound on County Road 1200 North Road. As both Units approached the unmarked intersection, Johnson turned right on to 1200 North Road crossing over into the eastbound lane striking Bilyeu in the rear driver's side. No injuries. No tow.

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

35 year old Joseph M. Besson of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for a warrant

 

28 year old Jessica D. Hogge of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for a warrant.

 

31 year old Lacey J. Austin of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for a warrant.

 

51 year old Ronald D. Samson of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for a warrant.

 

31 year old Jeremy R. Maters of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for a warrant. 

 

Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle accident on September 24th at 10:25 PM. A minor was traveling northbound attempting to turn west onto Spresser Street from Webster Street while Tonya Fisher from Stonington was traveling southbound on Webster Street and proceeding through a green light. The minor failed to yield to the right of way for Fisher and the vehicles collided. While both drivers were ok, passengers were transported to area hospitals for injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. 

 

Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle accident on West Springfield Road and North Cheney Street in Taylorville on September 25th at 2:25 AM. A vehicle was parked improperly along West Springfield Road. The investigation revealed that the parked car was likely headed in the southeast lane when it struck a median after failing to turn right onto N. Cheney Street from West Springfield Road.  The vehicle was severely disabled and struck and rode along the curb multiple times eventually coming to a stop at 906 W. Springfield Road. The vehicle was towed from the scene. 

 

Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle accident on September 26th at 4:47 PM. James W. Shoup of Fort Madison Iowa was parked at 918 E Park Street. He didn’t know there was not a safe exit out of the lot and attempted to turn southeast into an alleyway to get back on the main road and hit the southwest corner of a garage. No injuries were reported.
