The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;
24 year old Robert Biggs of Edinburg was arrested on Tuesday on an FTA warrant for retail theft.
43 year old Matthew Burrus of Pana was arrested on Tuesday an FTA warrant for a controlled substance charge.
57 year old Joseph Hicks of Pana was arrested on Tuesday for theft over $10,000 but less than $100,000.
30 year old Christian Crowder of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday for domestic battery
33 year old Andrew Smith of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday for domestic battery.
ON 09-13-21 DEBORAH SEATON AND KAMERON BOLINE WERE INVOLVED IN A TRAFFIC CRASH IN RURAL BUCKHART TOWNSHIP. SEATON WAS NORTHBOUND ON 1000 EAST ROAD DRIVING A 2014 FORD. BOLINE WAS EASTBOUND ON COUNTY HIGHWAY 21 DRIVING A 2004 SATURN. SEATON HAD STOPPED AT THE STOP SIGN AND BELIEVED IT WAS SAFE TO PROCEED. SEATON MADE A LEFT TURN ONTO COUNTY HIGHWAY 21, IN FRONT OF THE BOLINE VEHICLE. BOLINE HAD TO SWERVE RIGHT TO MISS THE SEATON VEHICLE CAUSING HIM TO EXIT THE ROADWAY, STRIKE A UTILITY POLE AND PROCEED THROUGH THE DITCH. THE BOLINE VEHICLE RECEIVED DAMAGE AND WAS TOWED FROM THE SCENE. THE SEATON VEHICLE WAS A NON CONTACT VEHICLE AND RECEIVED NO DAMAGE. BOTH PARTIES REFUSED MEDICAL TREATMENT.
The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;
On 9/15/21 Christian E. Crowder age 30 of Taylorville was arrested for Domestic Battery, Driving while License Suspended, and Leaving the scene of an accident
On 9/15/21 Andrew D. Smith age 33 of Taylorville was arrested for Domestic Battery
Suzanne M. McCormick of Virden and Rita Black of Pawnee were eastbound on West Spresser Street approaching the intersection of North Webster. McCormick stated she attempted to maneuver into the turn lane and struck Black. Black stated she was already in the turn lane when McCormick struck her vehicle. No injuries were reported.
Jonathan W. Estes of Taylorville was westbound in the 1300 Block of West England Street and struck two vehicles including a construction trailer. Estes attempted to back up from the collision with the trailer but got stuck and spun the left tire creating a hole. No injuries were reported. Estes was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operating an uninsured vehicle.
