Area Arrests And Accidents 06/30/21

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

52 year old Theodore Workman of New Berlin was arrested on Tuesday for possession of meth.

 

28 year old Jeremy T. Emery of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday for possession of meth and meth delivery.

 

35 year old Jenna Sparling of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday for possession of meth.

 

49 year old Jerry Burton of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday for possession of meth.

 

50 year old Madeline Lowis of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday on a FTA warrant for driving on a suspended/revoked drivers license. 

 

On Tuesday, Belon Ortiz of Springfield was eastbound on 1800 North Road in South Fork Township. Ortiz reported an issue with the vehicle he was driving which caused him to drive through the “T” intersection at 200 East Road. The ditch was filled with water. No injuries were reported. 

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

28 year old Jeremy T. Emery of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.

 

35 year old Jenna L. Sparling of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday for possession of a controlled substance.

 

49 year old Jerry L. Burton of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday for possession of methamphetamine and an active warrant. 

 

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on Esther Street on Saturday morning around 4:30. David A. Lauher of Tovey was driving west on Esther Street when it lost control and collided its front end with some concrete barriers, causing it to spin 90 degrees left and turn over onto its side. Below the vehicle was a construction pit with an exposed gas line. When questioned, Lauher showed a lack of coordination and balance and had an odor of alcohol. He admitted to alcohol consumption prior to driving. EMS transported Lauher to TMH for evaluation. 

 

Taylorville Police also reported that Brenda Callier of Taylorville was shopping all day in Springfield and Taylorville and after leaving Walmart on Monday, she noticed someone in a red vehicle had damaged her passenger side door. It had a medium size dent with red paint transfer on the scratched area. She filed a police report for unknown location of damage.
