Area Arrests and Accidents 05/17/21

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

39 year old Dwain E. Sarver of Pana was arrested on Friday for violation of an order of protection. 

 

27 year old Brett M. Bryson of Pana was arrested on Friday on a FTA warrant for possession of meth

 

40 year old David L. Kerr of Tower Hill was arrested on Friday on a FTA warrant for driving while license suspended/revoked.

 

30 year old Heather D. Thomas of Decatur was arrested on Saturday on a Effingham County FTA warrant for possession of meth.

 

29 year old Dalton W. Jeppson of Decatur was arrested on Saturday for driving on a suspended/revoked drivers license. 

 

24 year old Todd J. Stivers of Pana was arrested on Sunday on a Christian County FTA warrant for retail theft and a Shelby County FTA warrant for burglary. 

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a vehicle accident that took place on Friday. Rudy Zahradka of Pana was traveling westbound on Second Street in Pana, driving a motorcycle. Just East of John Street, Zahradka lost control of the motorcycle and crashed. Zahradka was transported to Pana Community Hospital with injuries.

 

David Maag of Kane was traveling northbound on Illinois Route 48. Just south of 1000 North Road in Johnson Township, maag says that he fell asleep and drove off the right side of the roadway, striking a small sign and overturning into a ditch. No injuries were reported.

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

A 14 year old male juvenile was arrested on Friday for battery.

 

22 year old Noah A. Womack of Edinburg was arrested on Saturday for DUI.

 

Taylorville Police are investigating a vehicle accident that took place on May 10th at 4PM. Diane Oates of Pana and Kylie M. Grubaugh of Edinburg were headed northbound on Cheney in Taylorville at the intersection with Springfield Road. Grubaugh stated she was stopped at the red light and was rear ended by Oates. Oates bumped Grubaugh in front of her while they were sitting at the spotlight. Both vehicles moved to the Arby’s parking lot prior to police arrival. No injuries were reported.
