Area Arrests And Accidents 10/16/20

Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

30 year old Charles L. Cummings Jr. of Springfield was arrested on Tuesday for no valid driver’s license. 

 

25 year old Daniel S. Dailey of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday for aggravated battery to a child.

 

24 year old James C. Luetzow of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for domestic battery.

 

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on the afternoon of September 30th on Route 48 and McAdam Drive. A minor from Moweaqua was traveling north on Route 48 and was turning left onto McAdam Drive. 30 year old Sally M. Betscher of Decatur was traveling southbound on Route 48. The minor believed that Betscher was turning and turned in front of her, causing a collision. Both vehicles were towed and Betscher was taken to a local hospital. 

 

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle that went through the front window of Aaron’s in Taylorville on October 6th. 27 year old Briann L. Kreiss said there was a vehicle parked in the area and she was going around that vehicle and went to hit the brake, but hit the gas pedal instead. The glass from the damaged window went all over inside the building and contents.

 

The Taylorville Police Department also responded to a vehicle that struck the Countryside building at 201 Water Street on October 10th. 68 year old Deborah S. Schmitt of Taylorville was pulling into the parking lot and did not stop, striking the building. No injuries were reported.

 

Taylorville PD was dispatched to a vehicle accident on the evening of October 11th at Lincoln Trail and North Leland Lane for a vehicle versus animal. Upon arrival, EMS was called due to injury from the impact and the driver, 57 year old Mary L. Bourne-Oconner of St. Charles Missouri who was feeling chest pains. TPD Dunn’s Ambulance, and Taylorville Fire and Rescue responded to the scene. Bourne-Oconner would transport herself to a local hospital. 

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

27 year old Thomas J. Foster of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday on an FTA warrant for unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.

 

38 year old Joshua M. Declerck of Carlinville was arrested on Thursday on an FTA warrant for violating an order of protection.

 

30 year old Cody E. Hines of Decatur was arrested on Thursday on a warrant for theft.
