Area Arrests And Accidents 6/12/20

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

26 year old Cameron D. King of Pana was arrested on Tuesday for obstructing identification.

 

21 year old Lavaughn O. Miller of Springfield was arrested on Thursday for failure to appear for driving revoked/reckless homicide warrant.

 

49 year old Gerald A. Brown of Kincaid was arrested on Wednesday for violation of an order of protection.

 

36 year old Sara A. Edwards of Ramsey was arrested on Thursday for possession of methamphetamine.

 

29 year old Robert D. Neal Jr of Pana was arrested on Friday for a Christian County Warrant for Arson.

 

24 year old Lauren N. Bobarsky was involved in a single vehicle accident on Tuesday at 892 Illinois Route 48. No injuries were reported.

 

30 year old Charles M. Carron of Taylorville was involved in a single vehicle accident on Thursday at 1850 E 2850 North Road. Minor injuries were reported.

 

37 year old Natalie K. Trelz of Assumption was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Wednesday at 700 North 2500 East Road and transported to a local hospital.

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle accident on June 5th at the 700 Block of West Market Street. Curtis D. Ryen of Taylorville was pulling a trailer westbound. Ryen told police the trailer coupling broke, causing the trailer to separate from the tow vehicle. The safety chains also broke and the trailer struck a tree.  No damage was reported to the tow vehicle, but the trailer sustaind front end damage.  No injuries were reported.

 

Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle accident from the afternoon of June 5th. Joshua L. Jones of Taylorville was traveling southeast on Illinois Route 29 attempting to turn left on Pershing Avenue. Louis P. Depaepe of Taylorville was headed northwest on Illinois Route 29. Jones stated he made a left hand turn in front of Depaepe and didn’t see him. Depaepe stated that Jones turned left in front of him and he was unable to avoid the collision. Depaepe also told police an unknown silver vehicle had turned in front of him as well he was in the process of slowing down when Jones followed the unknown silver vehicle and the collision occurred. Depaepe struck Jones in the passenger side door area and pushed him into a nearby guard rail. A juvenile passenger was transported to St. John’s Hospital for medical treatment. Both drivers refused treatment.
