Area Arrests And Accidents 1/29/20

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

20 year old Preston J. Newingham of Kincaid was arrested on Tuesday for attempted murder.

 

40 year old Louis E. Sullivan of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for aggravated domestic battery.

 

53 year old Lanita L. Newingham of Kincaid was arrested on Tuesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2018 charge of contempt of court. Bond was set at $200.

 

25 year old Adam W. Schmidt of Gillespie reported the Christian County Sheriff's Office that he struck a deer, northbound on Illinois Route 48 just north of Palmer.

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

50 year old Vickie Allard Bush of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday for driving suspended.

 

30 year old Lacey Austin of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday for retail theft and improperly displayed registration.

 

30 year old Charles Carron of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday for retail theft.

 

41 year old Kissi T. Barbour of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for disorderly conduct.

 

40 year old Louis E. Sullivan II of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for aggravated domestic battery.

 

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a hit and run on Monday evening. 20 year old Preston J. Newingham was eastbound on West Adams Street. According to the police report, Newingham drove onto the sidewalk on the north side of West Adams Street continuing east on the sidewalk and crossing South Clay Street. Newingham struck a pedestrian, 32 year old Dontrello D. Franks of Taylorville near the intersection of West Adams Street and Clay Street and continued eastbound on West Adams and was later located at Memorial School, with the vehicle unoccupied. The damage to Newingham’s vehicle the front end, drivers side front tire, passenger side tire, headlight, and passenger side of the windshield. Franks sustained trauma injuries and was transported to Memorial Medical Center in Springfield via EMS. Newingham was apprehended and admitted to intentionally striking Franks.
