The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;
36 year old Randy J. Mildenberger of Chesterfield was arrested on Sunday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2012 cannabis possession charge. Bond was set at $2,500.
35 year old Ashley L. Rockford of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for domestic battery.
44 year old Tonya D. Fisher of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for theft.
60 year old Gary E. Turvey of Taylorville was arrested for DUI and driving on a suspended license.
41 year old Kissi T. Barbour of Taylorville was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2018 charge of failure to appear and answer questions. Bond was set at $225.
23 year old Chelsea J. Rigdon of Springfield was arrested on Friday for driving on a suspended license.
33 year old Nathan M. Emerson of Pana was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2019 charge of aggravated criminal sexual abuse charge. Bond was set at $10,000.
29 year old Derek W. Massey of Pana was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2018 charge of disorderly conduct. Bond was set at $2,500.
19 year old Michael L. Durbin of Stonington was arrested on Friday for violating the sex offender registration act.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on the early morning of January 12th. A vehicle was traveling south on 1350 East (South Cherokee Street) South of IL Route 48. The driver left the roadway on the east side of the road and traveled along the shoulder of the road for about 210 feet before hitting the water in the ditch. The roads had been icy. Once the vehicle hit the water, the truck overturned and was facing back to the north with the passenger side of the truck closest to the road. Driver and passengers were able to exit the vehicle with the help of a vehicle driving past and all occupants were transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital. There was confusion over who was driving the vehicle as Stefan Bedinger, Eric D. Buerk, and Curtis M. Eller were all in the vehicle. Mr. Eller and Mr. Bedinger stated Mr. Buerk was driving the vehicle, however, this is still under investigation by the Christian County Sheriff's Office and has not been decided who actually was driving.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Saturday evening. 60 year old Gary E. Turvey of Taylorville was traveling southbound on Illinois next to 28 year old Cassaundra A. Sphar of Taylorville. Turvey swerved over the dotted line striking Sphar’s vehicle. Sphar pulled over and dialed 9-1-1 while Turvey sped away. Turvey was eventually pulled over by authorities and Turvey was arrested at Illinois Route 29 and County Road 21 for driving while impaired. No injuries were reported but Turvey was given 4 citations.
23 year old Ryan W. Degner of Taylorville reported hitting a deer near 746 E on Illinois Route 29 on the morning of January 23rd. No injuries were reported.
