The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

24 year old Matthew Z Cunningham of Taylorville was arrested Monday on an original arrest warrant for a 2019 charge of contempt of court. Bond was set at $94.

35 year old Christopher W. Bontrager of Decatur was arrested on Monday for theft.

52 year old Jessica J. Rabideau of Kincaid was arrested on Sunday for a violation of an order of protection.

53 year old Curtis R. Burney of Bulpitt was arrested on Sunday for criminal trespass to residence.

19 year old Damien E. Griffet of Mount Auburn was arrested on Saturday for possession of methamphetamine.

39 year old Billy J. Brown of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2017 charge of contempt of court. Bond was set at $800.

39 year old Leanna M. Grissom of Pana was arrested on Saturday on an original arrest warrant for a 2016 charge of DUI. No bond was set. 

41 year old Joseph D. Mays of Taylorville was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2019 charge of forgery. Bond was set at $10,000.

47 year old Jason E. Newberry of Taylorville was arrested on Monday for possession of methamphetamine.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on January 15th. 89 year old John N. Sanders of Moweaqua was slowing to go into the turn lane to turn east on to 1600 N Road off of US 51. 19 year old Charles A. Poland of Moweaqua was following behind and went to overtake Sanders vehicle striking the rear driver side of the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on the morning of January 19th. 42 year old Laura R. Morrell of Pana was traveling south on 1350 East Road in Johnson Township when she failed to negotiate a turn in the road at 600 North.  This caused the car to leave the roadway hitting the ditch on the east side of the road on 1350 East. No injuries were reported.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on the evening of January 11th.  18 year old Bradlee H. Marburger of Taylorville was traveling north on 1250 East road ¼ mile north of 1100 North Road. The vehicle began to slide on a patch of ice, resulting in Marburger losing control and going into the ditch. The vehicle then hit a culvert under a driveway causing disabling damage. No injuries were reported by the driver or passenger.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on the morning of January 17th.  36 year old Jason S. Newell of Springfield was eastbound on County Road 12 when Newell stated that he dropped off the shoulder of the roadway. No injuries were reported.

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

33 year old Chad M. Hall was arrested on Monday for aggravated domestic battery and transported to TPD to be processed than transported to CCCC in lieu of bond.
