Area Arrests And Accidents 1/17/20

The Christian County Sheriffs Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

36-year-old Stefanie D. Bailey of Pana was arrested on Thursday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2018 charge of possession of methamphetamine. Bond was set at $2,500.

 

27-year-old Garrett W. Morrow of Astoria was arrested on Thursday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2019 charge of no driver's license. Bond was set at $2,500. Morrow was also arrested for possession of methamphetamine and a controlled substance.

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle accident on Tuesday, January 14th.  20 year old Tyler R. Bandy of Girard was traveling westbound on Route 48 near Spresser and Jaycee. 19 year old Sidney L. Wagner of Taylorville was traveling southbound in dense fog. Wagner had the stop sign. Wagner continued south in order to turn east on Route 48 but was unable to see Bandy. Bandy struck Wagner in the rear drivers' side. Airbags on Bandy’s vehicle deployed. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were towed away. 

 

Taylorville Police also responded to another vehicle accident on Tuesday. 30 year old Collin A. Shoemaker of Taylorville was headed eastbound. A minor from Taylorville was driving northbound with a yield sign at the intersection of Market and Powers Street. The minor proceeded to go through the intersection but said they couldn’t see Shoemaker’s vehicle due to a dumpster obstructing the view and struck the other vehicle. No injuries were reported.
