Area Arrests And Accidents 1/13/20

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

72 year old Cheryl L. Blaesing of Taylorville was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2018 charge of bad checks. Bond was set at $1,000.

 

55 year old Brian L. Moses of Palmer was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2018 charge of contempt of court. Bond was set at $5,000.

 

34 year old Shane M. Leady of Decatur was arrested on Friday for driving on a suspended/revoked license.

 

24 year old Anthoney R. Chavez of Taylorville was arrested on Friday on an orginal arrest warrant for a 2019 charge for an ordinance violation. Bond was set at $100.

 

29 year old Joshua C. Wells of Taylorville was arrested on Monday for domestic battery.

 

36 year old Dustin M. Boyd of Kincaid was arrested on Sunday for domestic battery.

 

52 year old Jerry E. Woodson of Bulpitt was arrested on Saturday for DUI. 

 

32 year old Bradley W. Masters of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for meth delivery.

 

32 year old Lisa M. Lake of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for meth delivery. 

 

35 year old Roger W. Nobles of Kincaid was arrested Saturday on a domestic battery charge.

 

21 year old Keira C. Morrissey of Kincaid was arrested Saturday for domestic battery.

 

28 year old Marciano Williams of Kincaid was arrested Saturday on a domestic battery charge. 

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Saturday evening. 35 year old Jessica L. Jones of Nokomis was traveling southbound on 1100 East Road, ½ mile south of 300 North Road. The driver continued through deep water that was across the roadway. Water began to rush into the vehicle and rose to the knee level of the passengers. All three passengers refused EMS and called a family member to come and pick them up.  The driver and registered owner will have the vehicle towed away when the water is not as deep.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Friday evening. 52 year old Jerry E. Woodson of Bullpitt was traveling west on IL-104 when the vehicle hit the water on the roadway, causing the vehicle to cross the eastbound lane of traffic. Woodson’s vehicle then left the roadway coming to rest on the east/west railroad tracks. The driver was unable to remove the vehicle which in turn came into contact with an Illinois Midland Railroad train that was reversing. The train continued backing up until the conductor noticed the lights of the vehicle on the tracks. The train then stopped allowing passengers inside to exit without injuries.  The train was traveling at a low speed with all proper safety precautions working.  No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Friday afternoon.  34 year old Shane M. Leady was northbound on Township Road 800 E. 54 year old Kimberly A. Nelson of Springfield was southbound on IL Route 29. Nelson stated that she saw Leady approaching the intersection and thought Leady was going to stop. Nelson said that Leady came through the intersection striking the side of her vehicle. Leady claimed he did not see her and proceeded. No injuries were reported.

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

32 year old Matthew S. Woodland was arrested on Sunday for criminal damage to property.

 

39 year old McKenzie R. Crowe of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for driving suspended.

 

24 year old Anthony R. Chavez was arrested on Friday for a valid Christian County Warrant.
