The Christian County Sheriffs Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;
23 year old Anthony D. Benavides of Springfield was arrested on Monday for possession of a controlled substance.
37 year old Caleb L. Walker of Taylorville was arrested on Monday on an original arrest warrant for a 2019 violation of an order of protection. Bond was set at $100,000.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Saturday evening. 67 year old John D. Bisby of Mechanicsburg was driving eastbound on 2600 North Road ¼ mile East of 725 East Road. Bisby stated that three deer ran out in front of his vehicle. Causing a collision. Bisby than left the roadway on the right hand side of the road and hit a utility pole in the ditch. Damage was caused to both the vehicle and the utility pole. No injuries were reported.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident on Saturday morning. 60 year old John W. Abrams of Ramsey was following to close behind 34 year old Jeffrey W. Degg of Witt. Both vehicles were traveling northbound on 1250 East Road. As Degg went to turn westbound onto 900 North Road, Abrams failed to slow down. Abrams began breaking but began to hydroplane because of the water on the roadway. Abrams then traveled northbound in the southbound lane, striking the driver’s side of Degg’s vehicle. Abrams proceeded to drive into the ditch on the west side of the roadway. No injuries were reported.
The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;
18 year old Erick A. Summer of Edinburg was arrested on Monday along with two juveniles for criminal trespassing to a vehicle. All males were released with Summer receiving a notice to appear. The other males were released to their parents/guardians.
46 year old Dawn M. Bayne of Taylorville was arrested on Monday for driving while license revoked.
37 year old Caleb Walker of Taylorville was arrested on a Christian County Warrant.
23 year old Anthony D. Benavides from Taylorville was arrested for Possession of a controlled substance.
Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on the morning of October 22nd. 26 year old Kira K. Herzog of Taylorvillewas traveling westbound on Spresser Street. 27 year old Staci L. King of Stonington was following behind Herzog and was not able to stop in time, causing a collision. Both vehicles were able to drive away from the scene.
On October 25th Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle accident when 24 year old Amber R. Pearse of Taylorville was traveling southbound on Route 29 heading toward Taylorville. Pearse was behind 44 year old David A. Keeney of Springfield and struck the rear end of Keeney causing damage. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
