Area Arrests Accidents And Fire Calls 10/8/19

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News; 

 

28 year old Kendra J. Pope of Tower Hill was arrested on Monday for possession of a controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine.

 

45 year old Lawrence E. Coghlan of Taylorville was arrested on Monday for retail theft. Bond was set at $3500.

 

29 year old Brett L. Peters of Springfield was arrested on Monday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2018 case for failure to return from furlough. Bond was set at $3500.

 

33 year old Corey V. Pope of Bowling Green, Kentucky was arrested on Monday for unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s office responded to a vehicle accident on Tuesday morning. 64-year-old Pamela E. Kee of Taylorville was traveling north on McAdams Drive and attempted to make a left-handed turn onto east Esther Street. Kee took the corner too short and the vehicle left the roadway and became stuck on the main railroad track. A short time later a passing train struck the stranded vehicle. The occupants of the vehicle were able to exit the vehicle and avoid being injured. The vehicle received major damage, and the locomotive received minimal front end damage.

 

Taylorville Police Department reported the following to regional radio news;

 

42 year old Matthew Neece of Taylorville was arrested for disorderly conduct.

 

The Taylorville Fire Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

There were 10 EMS calls and 1 Fire call between the hours of 9 AM on Friday and 9 AM on Tuesday.
