Area Arrests and Accidents 4/15/19

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

David Jamison, 49, of Moweaqua, was arrested on April 12th for failure to appear.

Charles Carron, 29, of Taylorville was arrested on April 12th for retail theft.

Brandi Hurley, 24, of Blue Mound, was arrested on April 12th for driving with a suspended license.

Dontrell Franks, 31, of Springfield, was arrested on April 13th for driving with a suspended license.

Ryan Ward, 31, of Brownstown, was arrested on April 13th for possession of methamphetamine. Class x felony.

James Burgess, 40, of Taylorville, was arrested on April 14th for battery.


THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

On April 12th, a seventeen year old juvenile was arrested for driving without a valid drivers license.

 

TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ACCIDENTS:

 

 On April 8th, 49 year old Christopher Rora of Taylorville was traveling northbound on North Cheney Street.  Faith Maxwell, 17, of Taylorville was traveling northbound on North Cheney Street directly behind Rora.  Rora stopped in congested traffic due to a traffic light signal.  Maxwell failed to stop behind Rora and struck the rear end of his vehicle.  Rora received damage to the rear of the vehicle.  Maxwell received damage to the front end of her vehicle.  Maxwell received one citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

 

On April 10th, Kerry Skinner, 18, of Owaneco was heading northwest on Springfield Road turning left onto Cheney Street. Nicholas Culberson. 22, of Pana was heading southeast on Springfield Road heading straight through the intersection.  The witness was stopped to the right and behind Skinner.  Witness said he stopped because the light was red.  The witness stated Skinner turned left and the light was red.  Culberson said he had a green light and Skinner said the light was red.  Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

 

Stephanie Porter, 42, of Taylorville was headed east on Park Street.  Caden Mileham of Mount Auburn was heading west before turning south onto North Cherokee.  Both vehicles had a green light.  Porter struck Mileham as he was turning south.  Porter failed to reduce speed to avoid an accident.  Mileham failed to yield turning left.
