The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests and accidents to Regional Radio News on Thursday:

21 year old Dustin Benedict of Bulpitt was arrested on Wednesday on a charge of contempt of court.

30 year old Amanda Pickett of Taylorville was in an accident on November 13th at 7:45 in the evening. Pickett was traveling northbound on county highway 1 at 1241 north when a deer ran into the roadway according to the accident report. Pickett tried to avoid the deer, but hit it.

61 year old Julitta Newberry of Taylorville was in an accident on November 13th at 6 in the evening. According to the accident report, Newberry was westbound on Illinois route 104 when a deer ran into the roadway, and Newberry struck it. 

60 year old Kevin Kirkendoll of Pana was in an accident on November 13th at 5:18 in the evening. According to the accident report, Kirkendoll was traveling eastbound on county highway 10, ½ a mile east of 300 East Road when a deer ran into the roadway. Kirkendoll was unable to avoid striking the deer.

34 year old Narcie Rogers of Riverton was in an accident on November 7th at 8:25 in the evening. Rogers was traveling eastbound on 900 north road approaching county highway 5 when a deer entered the roadway. Rogers did not see the deer, and struck it.

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News on Thursday:

33 year old Cody Pugsley of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday on a charge of retail theft.
