Area Arrests/Accidents 7/5/18

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News on Thursday:

 

22 year old Brett Durbin of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday on a charge of home invasion and causing injury.

 

43 year old Martin Anderson of Colorado Springs was arrested Thursday morning on a charge of speeding.

 

 

29 year old Alex Collingwood of Pana was arrested Thursday morning on a charge of domestic battery.

 

 

32 year old Austin Casner of Pana was arrested on Wednesday on a charge of domestic battery.

 

 

37 year old Melissa Beaston of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday on a charge of driving on a suspended or revoked license.

 

 

28 year old Nicole Manley of Kincaid was arrested on Wednesday on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

 

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News on Thursday:

 

20 year old Logan Beck of Freeberg, and 24 year old Aaron Vandenbergh of Pana were in an accident on June 26th at 11:55 in the morning. There were no passengers involved in the accident. According to the accident report, Beck was heading west bound on 100 N Road, and Vandenbergh was driving northbound on 2200 E road. The report states that Beck failed to yield right of way to Vandenbergh in the intersection. Beck was struck on the drivers side of Vandenbergh’s vehicle causing it to spin around into the east ditch. Beck’s car was driven into the north ditch off 100 N road. Logan Beck was arrested, and nobody was taken to the hospital.

29 year old Michael Ralston of Cowden turned himself in Thursday morning. He has a Montgomery County Warrant.

26 year old Juan Sandoval of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday on a charge of not having a valid drivers license.


Melissa Beaston was arrested on Wednesday on a Christian County Warrant.


21 year old Brett Durbin of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for a Christian County Warrant.


28 year old Nicole Manley of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday on a Christian County Warrant.

62 year old Robert Declerck of Taylorville and 47 year old Mary Caraker were in an accident on June 30th at 8:30 in the morning. According to the report Caraker was traveling north on Spresser Street and was driving through the intersection of Cheney and Spresser streets. Declerck was traveling west on Spresser Street, near Cheney Street, and failed to yield at the red traffic light. Declerck entered the intersection and struck Caraker’s vehicle causing damage. Caraker’s car had to be towed from the scene, and she was sent to Taylorville Memorial Hospital in a Sutton’s Ambulance. Declerck was arrested, and refused medical attention.

 

 

62 year old Andrew McMahon of Taylorville, and 16 year old Seth Johnson of Taylorville were in an accident on July 2nd at 1:54 in the afternoon. According to the accident report, Johnson was heading southbound on Webster Street, and came to a stop at the stop light located at the intersection of Wilson and Weber Streets. McMahon was traveling southbound on Weber Street, and failed to reduce his speed. McMahon collided with the back of Johnson car causing damage to both vehicles. McMahon had damage on the front winch, and Johnson sustained minor damage to his rear bumper. There were no injuries, and both vehicles were able to drive away from the scene.

 

Rex Montgomery of Taylorville was in an accident on June 29th at 6:10 in the morning. According to the accident report. Montgomery was traveling Southbound when he exited the roadway due to a medical issue. Montgomery drove through the parking lots of Edward Jones, Maurcies, and Wendy’s causing damage to the Maurcies parking lot and Wendy’s landscaping. Montgomery was transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital in a Sutton’s ambulance, and his vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

20 year old Michael Nelson of Taylorville was in an accident on June 30th at 1:29 in the afternoon. The accident report stated that Nelson was backing out of a residence in the 700 block of Pauline Street. Nelson backed into a legally parked car causing damage. Both vehicles were able to drive away from the scene, and nobody was injured.
