Area Arrests/Accidents 4/2/18

On Monday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:

 

24-year-old Mark A. Hampton of Crawfordsville, IN was arrested Friday on a Christian County Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $2,500.

 

26-year-old Jordan A. Young of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for Public Fighting.

 

40-year-old Ronald E. Nigh, Jr., of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for Public Fighting.

 

38-year-old Marshalle Nigh of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for Assault.

 

On Monday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

42-year-old Wendi R. Slightom of Taylorville was driving west on Lincoln Trail, following behind 57-year-old Richard K. Delvalle Tuesday. Delvalle was turning onto Route 48 along with Slightom. Delvalle slowed approaching the turn, and Slightom could not stop in time and rear-ended his vehicle. No one was hurt. Slightom was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.

 

22-year-old Alex M. Minix of Edinburg was driving eastbound on W. Lake Shore Dr. Thursday when he lost control of the vehicle because of wet pavement. Minix tried to correct the sliding but ended up running off the roadway and colliding with a utility pole on the north side of the road.

 

39-year-old Jacelyn L. Prince of Taylorville was driving eastbound on Park Street Thursday following behind a 16-year-old juvenile. The 16-year-old slowed and signaled to turn into a driveway. As the juvenile yielded to oncoming traffic, Prince did not slow down in time and rear-ended the 16-year-old’s vehicle. Prince was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.

 

On Monday, the Pana Police Department reported the following arrest to Regional Radio News:


43-year-old Chad E. McKittrick of Pana was arrested Saturday on a Macon County Bond Forfeiture warrant.

 

On Monday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrest to Regional Radio News:


33-year-old Zachery W. Bough of Edinburg was arrested Saturday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $6,000.


On Monday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:


43-year-old Thomas E. Mayes of Taylorville was driving eastbound of County Highway #1 west of 2000 E. Rd. Thursday when he says there were several deer ran from the ditch into the roadway. Mayes says he swerved to miss one of the deer and struck it with the front left side of his vehicle. Mayes says he swerved back into his lane and struck a second deer with the front right side of his vehicle. He was able to drive away from the scene.


At the scene of a fire in Edinburg on Saturday, 51-year-old Michael W. Lebshier was attempting to move his vehicle on N. Campbell St. in Edinburg when he backed into the vehicle owned by Mark T. Dyson of Taylorville. No one was hurt.
