Area Arrests/Accidents 2/5/18

On Monday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

19-year-old Lindsey M. Hills of Kincaid was driving westbound behind 54-year-old Bruce L. Wilson of Edinburg on Springfield Rd. Friday. Wilson stopped for traffic near the intersection with Cheney St., but Hills did not stop in time and rear-ended Wilson. No one was hurt, and both vehicles were able to drive away from the scene.

 

90-year-old Dorothy B. Mayer of Taylorville was driving eastbound on W. Main Cross St. approaching the intersection with Webster St. on Sunday. 37-year-old Kendy C. Mayes of Taylorville was driving northbound on Webster St. approaching the intersection with W. Main Cross St. Mayes came to a stop and proceeded through the intersection. Mayer failed to yield at the stop sign and crashed into the driver’s side of Mayes vehicle. No injuries were reported. Mayes vehicle was towed from the scene. Mayer was able to drive from the scene, and she was issued a citation for Disobeying a Traffic Control Device.

 

On Monday, the Pana Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:


21-year-old Jesse J. Keller was arrested Sunday on an active warrant and cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.


21-year-old Damion L. Wilson of Tower Hills was cited Sunday for Operating an Uninsured Vehicle and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.


19-year-old Logan M. Beck of Smithton, IL was cited Sunday for Possession of Cannabis Less Than 10 Grams.


38-year-old Randy M. Hammond of Pana was arrested Sunday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $5,000.


43-year-old William E. Lawrence of Pana was arrested Sunday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $3,000.


On Wednesday, the Pana Police Department reported the following accident to Regional Radio News:


34-year-old Lisa J. Linn of Pana was backing from a private drive on N. Poplar St. Monday when she collided with the vehicle driven by 23-year-old Rebecca S. Moore of Pana. No one was hurt. Linn was issued a citation for Improper Backing.

 

On Monday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:


26-year-old David M. Droke of Taylorville was arrested Friday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $5,000.


25-year-old Shawn E. Cohan of Shelbyville was arrested Saturday for Meth Trafficking.


22-year-old Nathan T. Mount of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for Meth Trafficking.


25-year-old Darien C. Shadwell of Decatur was arrested Saturday for Meth Trafficking.


On Monday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:


59-year-old Sandra L. Osborn of Kincaid was driving eastbound on 1450 N. Rd. on January 20th. At approximately 1065 E., she went off the roadway and struck a stump with the front, passenger side of his vehicle. Osborn then left the scene and did not call a police authority to report the accident. Osborn was later pulled over by police and arrested for DUI - Alcohol. She was issued citations for Failure to Report an Accident and Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol. The vehicle was towed from the scene.


26-year-old Aimee C. Longdon of Farmersville was driving westbound on 350 N. Rd. Friday when she hit a deer at approximately 1550 E. Rd. Longdon came to a stop on the side of the road after hitting the deer. She was not hurt.


20-year-old Carl J. Fisher of Stonington was driving northbound on County Highway 7 Friday. At approximately 1785 N., Fisher attempted to slow the vehicle by activating the emergency brake, which caused the drive to lose control of the vehicle. Fisher then struck the west ditch causing him to roll one and a half times before coming to rest on its top.


30-year-old Megan A. Gilmore of St. Louis, MO was driving southbound on Route 48 on Saturday. A square hay bale was in the roadway just north of 200 N. Rd. Gilmore could not see the hay bale and ran into it, causing damage to the vehicle. She was not hurt.


17-year-old Sam J. Nollman of Pana was driving eastbound on 00 N. Rd. Sunday when he traveled off the roadway into the ditch on the north side of the road. His vehicle overturned and came to rest on its top in the field on the north side of the road. Both passengers in the vehicle refused medical treatment.


33-year-old Lyndsey E. Humpal of Decatur was driving northbound on 2300 E. Rd on Sunday when she came up to the T-intersection with 2675 N. Rd. Humpal slid on the snow and continued across the intersection and hit the ditch on the north side of the road. She was not hurt.
