Area Arrests/Accidents 8/16/17

On Wednesday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accident to Regional Radio News:

 

51-year-old Michael D. Copp of Rochester was driving in the Lake Taylorville Marina parking lot early in the morning on Sunday. He said the windows were fogged and he struck a light pole in the parking lot, causing it to fall. Copp reported the incident and damage to the Marina Office attendant.

 

On Wednesday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:


27-year-old Johnathon R. Gensler of Taylorville was arrested Tuesday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $5,000.


33-year-old Johnathon T. Coady of Taylorville was arrested Tuesday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $2,000.


On Wednesday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:


The Christian County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to 108 First Street in Jeisyville. The homeowner says a blue car struck a parked vehicle in front of his residence. The parked car had front driver’s side damage. The homeowner says the blue car continue eastbound and parked in a nearby business’ driveway, and two males exited the blue car and left the area on foot. Later that morning, the parked car was reported stolen from an address in the 400 block of First Street in Jeisyville.


43-year-old Thomas E. Mayes III of Taylorville was driving eastbound on County Highway 2 Monday. Approximately a half mile east of 1900 E Road, a deer entered the roadway. Mayes could not avoid the deer and hit the animal. He was not hurt.


53-year-old Michael D. Blakeman of Taylorville was driving southbound on 900 E Road Monday. Approximately a half mile north of 1800 N Road, a deer ran into the road. Blakeman could not avoid the deer and hit the animal. He was not hurt.


22-year-old Andrew J. Coontz of Pawnee was driving on County 20 on Tuesday. Just before 2000 N Road, a deer ran in front of Coontz. He swerved to miss the deer, ran off the roadway and hit a tree. He was not hurt.
