Area Arrests/Accidents 7/31/17

On Monday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:

 

31-year-old Travis W. Foor of Taylorville was arrested Friday for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

 

20-year-old Shiloh K. Thomas of Taylorville was arrested Friday for Domestic Battery.

 

63-year-old Donnie Bodovich of Tovey was arrested Friday on a valid Christian County Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $3,000.

 

22-year-old Chloe L. Windell of Taylorville and 22-year-old Jeri M. Woodson of Bulpitt were arrested Saturday for Criminal Damage to Property.

 

24-year-old Christopher J. Johnson of Taylorville was arrested Sunday on a valid Christian County Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $5,000.

 

On Monday, the Pana Police Department reported the following arrests and incidents to Regional Radio News:


46-year-old Starla D. Hostetler of Pana was arrested July 22nd for Battery.


Pana Police received a report that on July 28th, a check had been altered to a larger amount and then cashed. The case is under investigation.


Pana Police and the Christian County Coroner’s Office are investigating the death of a 24-year-old male Friday. More information will be released pending autopsy results.


A complainant reported the theft of approximate $300 worth of tools from his garage in the 900 block of East 3rd Street sometime between 6 p.m. Friday and 11:30 p.m. Saturday. The case is under investigation.

 

On Monday, the Pana Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:


31-year-old Casey D. Denton of Pana was driving northbound on Poplar Street approaching Second Street. 29-year-old Audra M. Koons of Pana was traveling northbound on Poplar, stopped at a red light at second street. Denton failed to stop and rear-ended Koons. No one was injured.


25-year-old Dillon L. Ginger of Pana and 28-year-old Ashlin A. Brown of Pana were both westbound on West 2nd Street Sunday. An unknown third vehicle slowed and unexpected made a left turn. Brown was forced to stop quickly in response, and Ginger was unable to stop and rear-ended Brown. No one was injured.

 

On Monday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:


35-year-old Lorna A. Smith of Taylorville was arrested Friday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $10,000.


40-year-old Jason W. Smith of Taylorville was arrested Friday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $250.


41-year-old David A. Handlin of Kincaid was arrested Sunday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $500.


On Monday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:


45-year-old Ronald L. Williams of Stonington was backing out at Willie’s Co-op on July 19th and backed into a post. He was not injured.


64-year-old Dennis L. Wolfe of Nokomis was driving southbound on Old U.S. Route 51 south of Assumption approaching the intersection with U.S. Route 51 Friday. Wolfe attempted to make a right turn but failed, driving into the median and hitting a “Do Not Enter” sign. He was not injured.


18-year-old Logan L. Jones of Taylorville was driving southbound on Webster Street Friday behind 20-year-old Trever E. King of Taylorville. Both were approaching the intersection with Spresser Street. King slowed down and stopped at the intersection. Jones slowed down but did not stop in time, rear-ending King. Jones and King were not injured. A passenger riding with King was transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.


37-year-old David B. Klee of Oconee was driving northbound on 100 East Road in Shelby County Friday. As he entered Christian County at 00 North Road at 2200 East Road, Klee missed the intersection and struck a utility pole on the north side of the intersection. Klee was transported to Pana Community Hospital via ambulance with head and arm injuries.


26-year-old Jordan M. Sheedy of Morrisonville was driving westbound on 700 North Road in Pana Township Saturday. 77-year-old Eugene T. Hoisington was driving southbound on 2400 East Road. At the intersection, Sheedy was going to turn left onto 2400 East Road, but was blinded by sunlight and could not see Hoisington approaching. Hoisington hit Sheedy and no one was injured.
