Area Arrests/Accidents 7/20/17

On Thursday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:

 

23-year-old Chase T. Lee of Kincaid was arrested Wednesday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $3,000.

 

38-year-old Mary A. Schalk of Edinburg was arrested Wednesday for Theft. No bond has been set.

 

35-year-old Lacey C. Swinburne of Taylorville was arrested Thursday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $5,000.

 

On Thursday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:


65-year-old Perry J. Pellegrini of Nokomis was driving northbound on County Road 1 on July 9th when a deer ran in front of him. He could not avoid the deer and hit the deer.


38-year-old Damon L. Fronabarger of Taylorville was driving northbound on South Main Street in Taylorville Sunday. He could not avoid the parked vehicles in the roadway. He rear-ended a second car, which took that car into a third car. The driver stated he did not know how the crash occurred and that he did not remember the crash. Fronabarger was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.


82-year-old Harry L. McGhee Jr. of Dawson was driving eastbound on County Highway 2 Monday, turning left onto County Highway 3. He said he did not see the the vehicle of 35-year-old Annisa D. Bartletti of Divernon in the intersection and he turned into the side of her vehicle. No one was injured.


21-year-old Dustin K. Dierker of Edinburg was driving southbound on County Highway 22 Tuesday. At approximately 2650 North, a deer entered the road. Dierker attempted to swerve to the opposite side of the road to avoid the deer but still hit the deer. Dierker then overcorrected and left the roadway slightly on the west side. As he got back onto the road, he lost control of the vehicle, spinning out before colliding with the ditch on the east side of the roadway.


17-year-old Landon T. Bethard of Morrisonville was driving eastbound on the Cherokee Street extension Wednesday when he lost control on loose gravel. The vehicle came to rest in the north ditch.
