Area Arrests/Accidents 6/12/17

On Monday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:

 

35-year-old Jesse A. Vail of Taylorville was arrested Friday for Driving with No Valid License and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.

 

24-year-old Jeremy T. Emery of Taylorville was arrested Sunday for Driving with No Valid License.

 

On Monday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

Kelly R. Mann of Taylorville reported that her car was struck by an unknown vehicle while it was parked on the 300 block of E. Adams Street in Taylorville. She says the incident occured between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Wednesday.

 

60-year-old Rondal J. Hoover of Taylorville was stopped at the intersection of Webster and Spresser heading eastbound Thursday. Seeing the car in the left turn lane was moving, he started moving forward and rear-ended 70-year-old Gallen J. Johnson of Pawnee. No one was injured.

 

39-year-old Josh P. Newberry of Taylorville was driving westbound on Spresser approaching the intersection with Cheney Street. 38-year-old Steven M. Jordan of Taylorville was driving eastbound on Spresser and had a green light. Newberry failed to yield for Jordan as he turned left and hit the driver’s side of Jordan’s car. Jordan was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital. Newberry was cited for Failure to Yield Turning Left and for Operating an Uninsured Vehicle.

 

On Monday, the Pana Police Department reported the following arrest to Regional Radio News:

 

The Pana Police Department is investigating the theft of an undisclosed amount of money from the First National Bank in Pana. The incident occurred in the past two months. Possible theft charges are possible against 27-year-old Audrie L. Leach of Oconee, following review from the State’s Attorney’s Office.

 

On Monday, the Pana Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

46-year-old Heath D. Strom of Pana was driving southbound on Fair Avenue preparing to make a left turn onto 6th Street when a 16-year-old could not stop his car and rear-ended Strom. No one was hurt.

 

25-year-old Benjamin R. Phillips of Maroa was backing a trailer into the water at Pana Lake from a boat ramp when he lost control of the vehicle. It crashed into the water and sunk.

 

On Monday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:

 

43-year-old Shayne E. O’Dell of Kincaid was arrested Friday for Domestic Battery. No bond has been set.

 

30-year-old Justin M. Bright of Taylorville was arrested Friday for Domestic Battery. No bond has been set.

 

48-year-old Shannon A. Sweigart of Findlay was arrested Friday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $1,000.

 

33-year-old Joseph L. Dees of Taylorville was arrested Friday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $1,500.

 

28-year-old Dustin R.A. Cline of Palmer was arrested Saturday for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. No bond has been set.

 

38-year-old Joshua A. Urbanckas of Pawnee was arrested Saturday for Contempt of Court. Bond is set at $300.

 

38-year-old Jason B. McDermott of Moweaqua was arrested Saturday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $25,000.

 

28-year-old Kenneth A. Kissell of Stonington was arrested Sunday for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Bond is set at $100.

 

54-year-old Helen M. Rogers of Maroa was arrested Sunday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $2,620.

 

20-year-old Jdaja S. Austin of Jacksonville was arrested Sunday for Underage Drinking. No bond has been set.

 

20-year-old Claudia E. Banks of Jacksonville was arrested Sunday for Underage Drinking. No bond has been set.

 

20-year-old Marshika M. Lomelino of Jacksonville was arrested Sunday for Underage Drinking. No bond has been set.

 

39-year-old Sarah J. Brozo of Springfield was arrested Monday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $5,000.

 

On Monday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

57-year-old Cynthia A. Lancaster of O’Fallon, Missouri was driving southbound on Illinois Route 48 on June 1st. 18-year-old Coltin L. Watson of Morrisonville was driving northbound on Illinois Route 48. Watson says Lancaster was crossing the center line into his lane of traffic. He swerved off the roadway to avoid the collision, but Lancaster continued crossing the center line and hit Watson head-on. Both drivers were taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital by ambulance. Lancaster was issued a citation for improper lane usage.

 

60-year-old Deborah L Craig of Moweaqua was driving eastbound on County Road 6 Thursday behind a tractor driven by 36-year-old Nathan A. Perry of Taylorville. Perry was attempting to turn left onto County Road 7 while Craig attempted to pass the tractor. Craig did not see Perry’s turn signal on and she hit the left front tire of the tractor. No one was hurt.

 

28-year-old Dustin R. Cline of Palmer was driving southbound on County Highway 5 on Saturday when he failed to reduce speed to make a curve and struck a stop sign and street sign. He then crossed the ditch and came to rest in the lawn of the Bear Creek Township Building. He refused medical treatment.
