Area Arrests/Accidents 5/30/17

On Tuesday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:

 

54-year-old Walter Harker of Taylorville was arrested Thursday for Criminal Damage to Property.

 

47-year-old John Manning of Taylorville was arrested Thursday for Disorderly Conduct.

 

34-year-old Michael J. Buchanan of Taylorville was arrested Saturday on a Christian County Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $20,000.

 

18-year-olds Tanner McGinnis and Austin Owens, both of Pekin, were arrested Saturday for Retail Theft.

 

22-year-old Martina I. Lyles of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for Battery.

 

33-year-old Joseph L. Dees of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for Driving while License Suspended.

 

43-year-old Gregory W. Donaldson of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for Resisting a Peace Officer and Obstructing Identification.

 

48-year-old Debbie R. Horn of Taylorville was arrested Sunday for Retail Theft.

 

57-year-old Hoy D. Copelin of Edinburg was arrested Monday on a valid Christian County Bond Forfeiture warrant and Driving while License Suspended. Bond is set at $300.

 

52-year-old Paula J. Copelin of Edinburg was arrested Monday on a valid Christian County Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $2,500.

 

On Tuesday, the Pana Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:

 

The Pana Police Department is seeking civil citations against two juveniles after cannabis was found at Pana High School on May 19th.

 

Police are seeking Domestic Battery charges against a 43-year-old male. The alleged incident happened at 310 West 2nd Street on Thursday

 

45-year-old Starla D. Hostetler of Pana was arrested Friday on a valid Montgomery County Firearms Possession warrant and on a Fayette County DUI warrant. She was transported to Fayette County in lieu of bond.

 

The Pana Police Department is investigating damage to the front door of a home in the 700 block of South Poplar Street. The alleged incident happened Friday.

 

35-year-old Robert M. Durbin of Decatur was issued citations for Improper Operation of an ATV on a Roadway and Driving while License Revoked.

 

22-year-old Paul E. Allen of Pana was arrested Sunday for Domestic Battery and Criminal Damage to Property. Bond is set at $30,000.

 

Police pulled over a 15-year-old juvenile Monday on 2nd Street. He was cited for no valid driver’s license.

 

On Tuesday, the Pana Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

45-year-old Amy B. Wagoner of West Terre Haute, Indiana was southbound on 7th Street Sunday when she failed to yield after stopping at a stop sign at the intersection with Hickory Street, striking the driver side of the car driven by 43-year-old Jerry A. Shaffner of Pana, causing major damage to both units. Wagoner was cited for failure to yield at a stop intersection.

 

The car of 27-year-old Kristi L. Peters of Pana was hit head-on early Sunday morning by an unknown vehicle. The crash is under investigation.

 

 

On Tuesday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:

 

39-year-old Wendy L. Weber of Nokomis was arrested on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $2,000.

 

29-year-old Jeremiah L. Wattigny of Tallula was arrested for Criminal Trespassing. Bond has been set at $150.

 

22-year-old Paul E. Allen of Pana was arrested for Domestic Battery and Criminal Damage to Property. No bond has been set.

 

42-year-old Joseph V. Pop of Tovey was arrested for DUI. No bond has been set.

 

29-year-old Lyndsay S. Cooper of Pana was arrested for DUI. Bond is set at $100.

 

56-year-old Marcus G. Hoskins of Quincy was arrested for DUI. Bond is set at $300.

 

On Tuesday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

64-year-old Marcia L. Ridgeway of Edinburg was driving eastbound on County Highway 2 Thursday when she was slowing down to turn into a residential driveway. 33-year-old James N. Cox of Cerro Gordo did not slow down for Ridgeway and rear-ended her. Cox forced Ridgeway into the southside ditch while he ended up in the northside ditch. Both refused medical treatment.

 

38-year-old David A. Malone of Mt. Auburn was driving eastbound on County Highway 2 Sunday when he lost control of his vehicle close to 1025 East. He entered the north ditch, traveled about 100 feet in the ditch before striking an embankment and becoming airborne. He landed approximately 50 feet away facing north.
