Area Arrests/Accidents 4/27/17

On Thursday the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:

 

On April 25, 19-year-old Shiloh K. Thomas of Taylorville was arrested for Domestic Battery.

 

On April 25, 42-year-old Michael Neece of Taylorville was arrested on a Christian County warrant.

 

On April 25, 27-year-old Brittany N. Benedict of Taylorville was arrested for Driving with a Suspended License.


On April 26, 23-year-old Jared M. Cota of Taylorville was arrested on a Sangamon County warrant.

 

 

On Thursday the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:

 

34-year-old Ryan D. Nance of Pana was arrested for Aggravated Robbery and Domestic Battery. No bond has been set.

 

 

25-year-old Steven A. Martinez of Edinburg was arrested on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $3,000

 

 

29-year-old Michael A. Blake of Palmer was arrested for Domestic Battery. No bond has been set.

 

On Thursday the Pana Police Department reported the following incidents to Regional Radio News:

 

On April 18, a complaint was filed for illegal dumping of construction materials, including windows, plywood, and drywall into the dumpster at the Walmart in Pana. The case is under investigation.

 

On Monday, 35-year-old Eric C. Holley was traveling north on Elizabeth Street from Magnolia Avenue. 36-year-old Jeremy T. Stark was traveling southbound on Elizabeth Street approaching Magnolia Avenue. Holley crossed into the southbound lane and hit Stark head-on. Holley was issued an improper lane usage citation.

 

On Monday, 32-year-old Nicole L. Martell was driving southbound on Hickory at First Street where she hit a stop sign. She left the scene and then hit a power pole in the 500 block of East Second Street, leaving major damage to the pole and her car. She was arrested on multiple counts, including DUI of combination of alcohol and other drugs. She was released with a mandatory court date.

 

On Tuesday, 22-year-old Amelia R. Akins was traveling west on East Jefferson. Akins says she was putting her phone down and was not looking when she hit the parked car of Leslie Lindsay. Akins was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

 

On Wednesday, Pana Police received a call about a man holding a knife to another man's throat. Upon police arrival, 34-year-old Ryan D. Nance was taken into custody for Aggravated Robbery and Domestic Battery. 27-year-old Dylan S. Beeson was taken into custody on a Coles County warrant. 28-year-old Jonathan P Hrabek was arrested on a Shelby County Warrant. Nance was transported to the Christian County Correctional Center, Beeson posted cash bond and was released. Hrabek was transported to the Shelby County Correctional Center.

 

On Thursday the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

 

38-year-old Dustin D. Theivagt was traveling eastbound on County Route 20 towards the intersection with County Route 5. He ran across Route 5 and flipped, landing in the ditch on the other side of route 5. Three people were transported to Memorial Medical Center.

 

30-year-old Deanna K. Goebel was southbound on Illinois Route 48 just north of Clarksdale. A deer ran into the path and Goebel struck the deer. No injuries were reported.
