On Thursday the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

30 year old David K. Matthews of Assumption was arrested on Wednesday for aggravated unlawful participation in methamphetamine production.

28 year old Samantha J. Abbott of Pana was arrested on Thursday for posession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

48 year old Gary G. Lyerla of Taylorville was arrested Wednesday for battery.

48 year old Johnny J. Marshel of Taylorville was arrested Wednesday for battery.

ACCIDENTS:

22 year old Wesley A. Gordon of Pawnee was heading eastbound on County Highway 2, in a four wheel drive John Deer tractor, leading a line of several similar tractors. 46 year old Lisa M. Hull-Crawford of Springfield was attempting to pass the tractors, when Gordon turned left and struck the right side of Hull-Crawford’s vehicle with the front left tire of the tractor. Hull-Crawford skid in the road, eventually sliding off the roadway before striking a line of trees in the south ditch, and was transported by Dunns Ambulance from the scene. Gordon reported no injuries, and also reported that he may have been over the center line a couple of feet.
