Area Arrests/Accidents 3/27/17

On Monday the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

 

34 year old Jefferson B. Forbes of Assumption was arrested Friday for driving on a suspended license.

 

35 year old John P. Brilley of Pana was arrested Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant with bond set at $3,500.

 

40 year old Jeremiah P. Denton of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for driving on a suspended license.

 

Zachary T. Williams of Athens was arrested Saturday on a bond forfeiture warrant with bond set at $3,000.

 

22 year old Mathew D. Henley of Tovey was arrested Sunday for DUI.


 

On Monday the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

 

26 year old Brent L. Musser of Rosamond was arrested Saturday for DUI and possession of a controlled substance, among other charges.




Accidents:

 

On March 23rd 66 year old Darrell V. Crowe of Mount Olive was westbound on Township Road 600 North. 39 year old Keith D. Ryan of Taylorville was southbound on Township Road 1800 East. Neither driver yeilded at the uncontrolled intersection, leading to Ryah striking the passenger side of Crowe causing damage to both vehicles. Crowe was transported by ambulance to Pana Hospital. Ryan refused treatment at the scene.

 

On March 22nd 16 year old Kerry L. Skinner of Owaneco was headed southeast on Route 29 when she stated she blacked out. Kerrys vehicle was located in a large steep ditch on the southwest side of the road. A witness to the crash said it looked like Skinner was attempting a U-turn in the middle of the roadway and slowly drove down the ditch. There were parts of the vehicle on the northeast side of Route 29 that indicated the vehicle had struck the guardrail with the rear-end. There was damage to the back bumper where it struck the guardrail and the front bumper where it had hit the ditch. There were black skid marks on the roadway that may indicate Skinner had lost control of the vehicle. Skinner was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital to be treated for injuries.


On March 23rd officers responded to a three vehicle accident at East Park and Chestnut in Taylorville. 23 year old Tyler D. Walker of Taylorville stated he could not get stopped in time and struck 59 year old Amy D. Schumacher of Effingham, which caused them to strike 33 year old Edward W. Cross of Pana. Schumacher said the same, and Cross said he was struck in the rear by Schumacher. Schumacher had rear end damage and minor front end damage. Schumacher had minor rear bumper damage. No injuries were reported.
