Area Arrests/Accidents 3/17/17

On Friday the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

 

A 17 year old Male juvenile was arrested on Friday for criminal damage.

 

32 year old Jason L. Lawyer of Taylorville was arrested Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant with bond set at $500.

 

22 year old Deven A. Barger of Watson was arrested Friday for driving with a suspended license, fleeing an officer, and reckless driving.

 

30 year old Kalyn L. Worker of Taylorville was arrested Friday for possession of methamphetamine.


 

On Friday the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

 

43 year old Steven M. Frazier of Taylorville was arrested Thursday for domestic battery.

 

20 year old Justin Sexton of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday for driving without a valid driver's license.

 

23 year old Kody J. Koonce of Bulpitt was arrested Thursday on a bond forfeiture warrant with bond set at $3,500.




 

Accidents:

 

21 year old Brett A. Young of Owaneco was northbound on County Highway 7. At approximately 1800 North, the driver lost control and drove off the roadway entering the east ditch. Young overturned and came to rest upright in the ditch. No injuries were reported.

 

On March 10th, 16 year old Lauren M. Colonius of Edinburg was traveling Northbound on S. Cook Street in Edinburg, approaching the intersection with W. Washington Street. 17 year old Chance J. Amos of Edinburg was traveling west on W. Washington Street, and Amos stated he stopped at the stop sign. Amos then proceeded into the intersection to turn left. Colonius couldn’t stop in time to avoid striking Amos’ vehicle. No injuries were reported.


61 year old Kurt L. Wempen of Morrisonville was parked at the People’s Bank in Trust in Morrisonville. Wempen stated he backed from in front of the bank and accelerated. Wempen said he could not find the brake and the vehicle kept accelerating, leaving skid marks on the road. Wempen backed through the intersection, and sideswiped a utility pole on the northwest corner of the intersection. Wempen also struck a concrete planter and the corner of Lowe Hardware. No injuries were reported.
