Area Arrests/Accidents 2/24/17

On Friday the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

 

49 year old Tina M. Long of Taylorville was arrested Thursday on a bond forfeiture warrant with bond set at $1,500.


 

On Friday the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

 

39 year old Ronald R Newton Jr of Windsor was arrested Wednesday for driving with a suspended license.

 

25 year old Aaron M. Ballion of Taylorville was arrested Wednesday for retail theft.

 

29 year old Stacy L. Plopper of Taylorville was arrested Tuesday for driving with a suspended license and suspended registration.

 

23 year old Garett C. Butler of Taylorville was arrested Wednesday on a valid warrant.

 

25 year old Roy H. Timmes of Taylorville was arrested Thursday for violating an order of protection.

 

22 year old Andrew M. McDonald of Pana was arrested Thursday on a bond forfeiture warrant with bond set at $200.



 

Accidents:

 

26 year old Troy E. Wells Jr. of Petersburg began backing up in a parking lot at 110 W. Taylorville road, and backed into another vehicle. No injuries were reported.

 

On February 17th 32 year old Jason J. Gongloff of Taylorville was traveling south on IL Rt. 29. Just before 1725 North, Gongloff left the roadway to the left and entered the median, then traveled across the northbound lanes of traffic. Gongloff eventually struck the ditch on the east side of the northbound lane. Upon hitting the ditch, Gongloff’s vehicle rolled twice before coming to a rest on it’s wheels in the field on the east side of northbound Rt. 29. Gongloff was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital to be treated for injuries.

 

59 year old Domenic T. Cimarusti of Morrisonville was leaving the parking lot of Sunkist Cleaners and struck the gutter on the overhead pavilion. Cimarusti said he did not realize he had struck the gutter causing damage. Cimarusti was located at the owner's residence by Morrisonville PD.

 

17 year old Madelyn J. Althoff of Taylorville was heading south on Cottage St. 67 year old Carolyn X. Mohn of Taylorville was heading west on Elm. Althoff proceeded through the intersection without slowing down due to the fact that the yield sign was missing. Mohn hit Althoff in the intersection. No injuries were reported.


26 year old Hannah E. Dorchinecz of Taylorville was exiting the parking lot of Walgreens onto Spresser street when the car in front of Dorchinecz stopped and backed up, causing damage. The other car left the scene, and no injuries were reported.
