Area Arrests/Accidents 1/3/17

On Tuesday the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

 

30 year old David K. Matthews of Assumption was arrested Sunday for theft and obstructing justice with bond set at $2500.

 

23 year old Thomas MJ Foster of Nokomis was arrested on Sunday for theft, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, and driving on a suspended license.

 

19 year old Spencer J. Curtin of Taylorville was arrested Sunday for consumption of liquor by a minor with bond set at $1500.

 

29 year old Garrett A. Whewell of Blue Mound was arrested Sunday for driving with a suspended license.

 

26 year old Amanda J. Girard of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for retail theft with bond set at $2,500.

 

48 year old James R. Lungsford of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for battery with bond set at $2,500.

 

19 year old Treylon L. Fuller of Decatur was arrested Saturday for possession of a firearm with an invalid FOID card, possession of cannabis, and possession of a stolen firearm.

 

34 year old Nathan L. Cooper of Taylorville was arrested Friday burglary with bond set at $50,000.

 

33 year old Jacob B. Melton of Roby was arrested Sunday for domestic battery.



 

ACCIDENTS:

 

70 year old Martha J. Wayne of Taylorville stated that they were northbound on County Highway 1 about 3-5 minutes south of town when a deer ran into the roadway. Wayne was able to slow down, but was not able to avoid the deer. The deer struck Wayne in the front causing minor damage.


46 year old Rhonda Beard of Owaneco was northbound on Il Rt 29. 34 year old Cody S. Brandley of Pana was also northbound on Il Rt 29 approaching Beard from the rear. Bandley advised he took his eyes off the road for a moment then struck the back end of Beard’s vehicle. No injuries were reported.
