Area Arrests/Accidents 11/30/16

On Wednesday the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

 

22 year old Gerald A. Brown of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for DUI. Bond was set at $5,000.

 
 

On Wednesday the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

 

36 year old Sarah J. Mort of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday for theft.

 
 

ACCIDENTS:

 

On November 22nd 39 year old Amanda L. Lahr of Taylorville was eastbound on 1700 north road near 1250 east rd when her vehicle ran off the roadway into the gravel on the south side of the road. The lip of the road is significant at this point and when Lahr attempted to correct back onto the roadway lost control. Lahr’s vehicle slid along the roadway, eventually sliding into the north ditch where her vehicle overturned. Lahr’s vehicle traveled an additional 120 feet in the ditch before coming to a rest. Lahr was taken to Memorial Medical Center to be treated for injuries.

 

19 year old Blaine O. Kuhnert of Taylorville was Northbound on IL Rt. 48. Kuhnert stated that a deer ran into the roadway and he was unable to avoid striking the deer. No injuries were reported

 

73 year old Gerald F. Veach of Kincaid was traveling north on 400 east road. At 600 North road, 400E jogs back to the west. Veach did not see the jog in the road and continued through the intersection and struck the ditch on the north side of 600 north. Veach advised responders that his vision was obscured by heavy rain at the time of the crash.
