Area Arrests/Accidents 10/25/16

On Tuesday the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

 

41 year old Dustin M. Hensley of Matteson was arrested on Monday for public intoxication.

 
 

ACCIDENTS:

 

30 year old Wendy M. Chamness of Taylorville stated that she stopped at a stop sign going east on Main Cross. A vehicle went through the intersection travelling north and Chamness entered the intersection. 80 year old Patricia E. Reese of Taylorville stated that she did not see Chamness and entered the intersection striking the right side of Chamness’ vehicle.

 

On October 22nd, a Ford Focus was parked in the parking lot of Krogers. 60 year old Mark J. Izatt of Taylorville was traveling south through the parking lot and struck the Focus. Izatt then left the scene, and was later located. Both vehicles were able to drive from the scene.

 

21 year old Hannah M. Funneman of Pana was heading south on IL Rt 29. A dead animal carcass was in the southbound lane. Funneman struck the dead animal attempting to straddle it. The animal damaged the undercarriage of the vehicle to the point where the skid plate was dragging the road. Funneman pulled over and her father came to remove the skid plate. After removal, Funneman drove away.
