Police Blotter

On Tuesday the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

 

39 year old Tommy R. Smith of Nokomis was arrested on Monday on a bond forfeiture warrant for domestic battery. Bond was set at $3000.

 

32 year old Tamar A. Wisnasky of Taylorville was arrested on Monday on a bond forfieture warrant for driving with a suspended license. Bond was set at $5000.


 

On Tuesday the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

 

19 year old Harlie R. Rice of Taylorville was arrested on Monday on a bond forfieture warrant for a child restraint violation. Bond was set at $3000.

 

30 year old Alejandro F. Cristobal of Taylorville was arrested on Monday for Domestic Battery.


 

ACCIDENTS:

 

47 year old Robert G. Wright of Shelbyville and 19 year old Destiny E. Doud of Edinburg were both headed east on Park Street. Doud slowed down to turn left into a private driveway. Wright failed to slow his vehicle in time and struck the rear of Doud. Wright reported minor front end damage to his vehicle. Doud’s vehicle sustained major rear end damage. No injuries were reported in the crash. Doud called a private tow. Wright was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.


 

27 year old Lacey M. Stephens of Taylorville was heading north on a bycicle in the east sidewalk of Main Street. 73 year old Carolyn S. Bertinetti was heading west on Market Street and stopped at the stop sign. After stopping, Bertinetti turned south onto Main Street. During Bertinetti’s turn, Stephens struck Bertinetti on the drivers side. Stephens was transported by ambulance to TMH.


The a witness was heading east on market street on the opposite side of the intersection of Bertinetti. The witness stated that Stephens was riding from the southeast corner of the intersection north into market street. The witness stated that Bertinetti was heading west on Market and turning south on Main Street with Stephens struck Bertinetti.
