Area Arrests/Accidents 6/9/16

On Thursday the Christian County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

 

42 year old Daniel G. Jefferies of Jefferson City Missouri was arrested on Wednesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $3500.

 

68 year old Barbra A. Hayes of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday on an original arrest warrant for contempt of court.

 

25 year old Chadwick R. Barlow of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for violating an order of protection, burglary, as well as theft.

 

 

 

ACCIDENTS

 

19 year old Cody D. Bland of Pana was stopped at the corner of Locust and 3rd at 8:55PM on 6/8/16 in a 2015 Dodge Charger. 16 year old Connor A. Voudrie of Tower Hill was traveling the same direction behind Bland in a 2005 GMC Z71. Voudrie ran into the back of Bland causing damage to both vehicles.

 

32 year old Weston T. Adcock of Assumption stated he was westbound on County Highway 6 near 2200 east road on 6/7/2016 in a 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe when a deer ran out in the roadway in front of him. Adcock did not have time to avoid the deer. The deer caused damage to the front drivers side of Adcock’s vehicle.

 

On 6/1/16 43 year old Angela M. Tucker of Assumption’s 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe was parked in the Christian County Sheriff’s office parking lot. Tucker was parked in the second stall from the north in the east row. 65 year old Jacqueline F. Mahone of Assumption entered the parking lot from the north, traveling southbound in a 2010 Nissan Altima. As Mahone was traveling through the lot, Tucker began to back up. Tucker struck Mahone and proceeded northbound, leaving the scene. Mahone’s vehicle received minor driver's side panel and bumper damage. On 6/5/16 Tucker was located. She stated that she was unaware she had made contact with another vehicle and had not seen Mahone stop behind her. No injuries were reported.


Douglas K Nihiser of Decatur was stopped at the stoplight facing southbound on 6/7/16 in a 2012 GMC SUV. For reasons unknown at this time, 21 year old Joseph P. Sassatelli of Taylorville did not slow as he approached the intersection in a 2007 Hyundai Sedan. Sassatelli rear ended Nihiser sending Nihiser halfway into the intersection. Sassatelli needed to be extricated from the vehicle by emergency personnel, and was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital for injuries.
