On Monday the Christian County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

21 yerar old Logan M. Durbin of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for Domestic Battery.

46 year old Richard T. Phares of Mt. Auburn was arrested on Saturday on a bond forfeiture warrant for contempt of court. Bond was set at $10,000.

56 year old Hoy D. Copelin of Edinburg was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for issuance of warrant. Bond was set at $2500.

ACCIDENTS

51 year old Kelly S. Perkins of Kincaid  was north bound on County Highway 5 approximately 1/10th of a mile north of 1975 North Road when her 2013 Toyota Camry got into the gravel on the right shoulder. Perkins traveled 14 feet along the shoulder before leaving the roadway and going into the right ditch. Perkins traveled 45 feet in the ditch coming to a stop facing north.

53 year old Steve G. Sharer of Taylorville  was stopped in the middle of the intersection in a 2008 Buick Lacrosse, waiting to turn left. Sharer stated the light had turned red, and he went to make a left turn to get out of the intersection. 25 year old Hillary M. McDevitt of Effingham and Sharer collided in the intersection. McDevitt stated she believed the light was still yellow when she went through the intersection. There were no independent witnesses that came forward with information in regards to which driver had the right of way. Both vehicles were towed due to damage.

On Monday the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

54 year old Marcia A. Hoffman-Fleming of Edinburg was arrested on Saturday for Retail Theft, as well as resisting and obstructing a peace officer.
