On Thursday the Christian County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

24 year old Frank J. McWard of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for driving while under the influence of alcohol.

On Thursday the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

29 year old Nicholas C. Allard of Springfield was arrested on Wednesday for criminal damage to property.

21 year old Brandon McCaughn of Taylorville was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident and driving while under the influence of alcohol.

ACCIDENTS:

60 year old Mary L. Schneider of Pana was eastbound on township road 250 N in a 2000 Ford Explorer. Schneider lost control of the vehicle striking the ditch causing the vehicle to roll over onto it’s side. Schneider was unable to get out of the vehicle, and had to be cut out of the vehicle by the Pana Fire Department. Schneider was issued three citations.

On 5/11/16 officers were dispatched to the 200 block of North Houston for a single vehicle rollover. Upon arrival it was apparent a 2003 Toyota Camry had struck a fire hydrant and was laying on it’s side. No driver of the vehicle was on the scene. The fire hydrant was out of the ground and water was running into the street. Officers later located 21 year old Brandon R. McCaughn of Taylorville and placed him under arrest for leaving the scene of an accident and driving under the influence of alcohol. He was also cited for improper lane usage.
