On Monday the Christian County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

41 year old James M. Steffers of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for Domestic Violence

31 year old Steven N. Graves of Springfield was arrested on Saturday for Battery.

19 year old Dustin J. Benedict of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday on a bond forfeiture warrant for Domestic Battery. Bond was set at $15,000.

22 year old Jessica S. Wehner of Springfield was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $5,000.

23 year old Keirsty M. Hughes of Vandalia was arrested on Sunday for domestic battery.

19 year old George D. Spallinger of Vandalia was arrested on Monday for domestic battery.

ACCIDENTS:

27 year old Colt A. Stephens of Morrisonville was travelling north east on IL Route 48 at about 1050 East in a 1995 Acura Integra. Stephens lost control and went off the north side of the roadway and traveled into the ditch. Stephens hit a culvert and then traveled out of control over the culvert. Stephens again hit the ditch causing more damage. The driver refused medical treatment, but had the passenger transported to Taylorville Hospital for evaluation. The driver was issued citations. Kertows was contacted to tow Stephen's vehicle.

23 year old Stanley K. Desart of Taylorville was traveling south on 400 East Rd in a 2013 Dodge Charger, and came upon a sharp curve in the roadway at 1275 east road. Desart was traveling too fast for conditions and was unable to stay on the roadway and struck the ditch embankment. Desart's vehicle receieved front passenger side damage.

On Monday the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to regional Radio News.

Bradley M. Knight of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for Possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as resisting arrest, obstruction of justice, and disarming of an officer.

26 year old Darci D. Moffitt of Owaneco was arrested on Saturday for possession of drug paraphernalia.

22 year old Johnathon L. Kulavic of Springfield was arrested on Saturday for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Michael Morrissey was arrested on Saturday for retail theft as well as driving with a suspended license.

Destiny Doud was arrested on Saturday for retail theft.

30 year old Raymond Thompson of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday for public intoxication.

45 year old Nina Ayers of Edinburg was arrested on Sunday for battery.
