Area Arrests/Accidents 2-2-16

On Tuesday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio:

 

31 year-old Stacy N. Reed of Nokomis was arrested on Monday on a bond forfeiture warrant for meth manufacturing. Bond was set at $10,000.

 

Accident:

 

24 year-old Jordan M. Kress of Taylorville was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze, heading eastbound on Illinois Route 48 just past South Houston Street when a deer ran into the roadway. Kress was unable to see the deer due to the trees. The deer struck her vehicle on the driver’s side of the vehicle. No injuries were reported. The accident occurred on January 28 at 3:45 a.m.

 

On Tuesday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio:

 

30 year-old Frank K. Sedlock of Taylorville was arrested on Monday for driving while license revoked.

 

20 year-old Robert T. Foreman of Springfield was arrested on Tuesday for zero tolerance DUI.

 

23 year-old Jessica D. Hogge of Taylorville was arrested on Monday for leaving the scene of an accident.

 

46 year-old Victoria J. Skinner of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for public intoxication.

 

25 year-old Logan A. Snow of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for driving while license suspended.

 

32 year-old Stacie E. Welge of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday for retail theft. She was processed and released.

 

Accidents:

 

19 year-old Olivia A. Dyer-Norton of Taylorville parked her 1997 GMC Van facing west in the Tastee Treat parking lot. Dyer-Norton left her four year old son, Ryan Dyer, in the running vehicle while she stood at the order window. Dyer climbed into the front seat of the vehicle and put the van in gear. Dyer pinned Dyer-Norton against the building with the front of the van. Dyer-Norton freed herself and called 911. Dyer-Norton was taken by ambulance to Taylorville Memorial Hospital to be treated for her injuries. The accident occurred on January 31 at 6:16 p.m.


61 year-old Alvin K. Weaver of Pana was in his 2007 Saturn 4-door car, heading northwest on Illinois Route 29, coming into Taylorville from the south. Weaver observed a large deer on the west side of the road and slowed down. Just after the driver believed he had passed the deer, he felt his car shake and saw the deer running off. The rear driver side panel and rear view mirror were damaged. Weaver refused medical treatment. The accident occurred on January 31 at 9 p.m.
