Professional tennis is returning to Decatur this summer.

The Illinois Women’s Pro Tennis Championships will be held June 8th through the 14th at the Fairview Tennis Complex, with the Robison Family once again serving as presenting sponsor.

The USTA Pro Circuit event will feature around 70 players from more than 20 countries, competing for a 30-thousand-dollar prize purse and valuable WTA world ranking points.

Tournament organizers say the event continues Decatur’s long tradition of hosting professional tennis and hope it will inspire young players in the community.
