Addison Tarr finished with 20 points including an impressive 11 in the fourth quarter, as the Lady Taylorville Tornadoes survived an onslaught of 3-pointers to beat Apollo Conference rival Mahomet Seymour 57-50.
The Bulldogs hit 13 3-pointers including 8 in the first half and 7 from Reese Gallier, but some adjustments from Taylorville in the third and fourth quarter helped give Taylorville the win. The Tornadoes jumped out to a 20-12 lead at the end of the first quarter, but the Bulldogs kept it close with a huge second quarter including four 3s. In fact, the Bulldogs had 20 points in the first half with 18 points coming from the 3-ball. Regardless Taylorville led 28-26 at the end of the first half.
Going into the third quarter the adjustments were there for the Lady Tornadoes, but Mohomet still got three 3's one each from Kylie Waldinger, Hannah Creel, and Courtney Fonte. Addison Tarr had 8 points in the third including two 3's herself. Mahomet would take their first lead though and lead 41-40 going into the fourth quarter.
The Tornadoes would come out swinging in the fourth quarter thanks to Addison Tarr's 11 points and a 4/5 from the free throw line. Kyleigh Heimsness for Taylorville would also hit 3 free throws and Taylorville would pull away picking up a big conference win 57-50. Taylorville improves to 15-9 and will face Pana Saturday night at 6 PM.

The Tornadoes have one conference game left against Mt. Zion. If they win, there will be a three way tie for first place in the Apollo Conference between Effingham, Taylorville, and Mahomet.
