Taylorville Improves To 2-0 In Rick McGraw Memorial Boys Basketball Invitational

Clark Durbin poured in eight and Drake Howard had 13 points alone in the second half as the Taylorville Tornadoes defeated the Roxana Shells 53-29 in the Litchfield Tournament.  The Tornadoes used a strong defensive effort keeping the Shells point guard Sean Maberry to just 6 points. Jake Newton for the Shells also poured in eight but it was Taylorville's defense that kept the Shells to just 13 points in the second half. Taylorville Head Coach Ryan Brown called it a complete effort.

The Tornadoes improve to 11-8 on the season. The Tornadoes will play on Friday in the Championship Bracket at 6 PM.  The Tornadoes will face 16-5 Triad for a chance to go to the championship game.
