The Taylorville Tornadoes defeated the Mattoon Green Wave 21-7 in an Apollo Conference showdown. The Tornadoes used a balanced run and pass game to pick up the win. The Nicole Patrick Country Financial player of the game goes to Cash Foraker for a dominating defensive effort. Quarterback Baron Odam along with Malique Pearse got the scoring done for the Tornadoes in the win.
The Tornadoes led 14-0 at halftime, cruising to the victory. The Tornadoes will next be in action on Friday, when they head on the road to take on Apollo Conference foes: the Charleston Trojans. Pregame starts at 6:50 pm on WTIM, Your Information Station. Taylorville improves to 2-2 in the conference and 3-4 overall.
