Los Angeles Dodgers Take Series Finale Against Chicago Cubs

The Chicago Cubs came storming back in a game that saw them give up four home runs in the first inning but it wasn't enough as the Los Angeles Dodgers hung on to win 10-8 on a crazy night in Los Angeles. The Cubs scored twice in the first, but the Dodgers answered with five of their own including the four home runs as Shoehei Ohtani, Tommy Edman, Will Smith, and Max Muncy all homered.

The Cubs would tie it 7-7 after a four-run 5th, but the Dodgers would tack on three more in the 7th and 8th. Jordan Wicks pitched 3 innings, giving up 8 hits, 7 earned runs, 4 walks, and struck out two. Seiya Suzuki and Cody Bellinger both homered for the Cubs in the losing effort.

The Cubs fall to 75-71, 5 games back from the last wild card spot.  The Cubs now start a three-game set against the 54-92 Colorado Rockies on Friday. Javier Assad is expected to start for the Cubs at 7:40 tomorrow night.
