Taylorville Girls Bowling Places Fourth At Sectionals

Taylorville Varsity Girls bowling team placed 4th at the Joliet Sectionals. The girls will bowl at Rockford on Friday and Saturday, February 16-17 in the Illinois State IHSA Girls Bowling Tournament.

 

This will be the first time since the 2003-2004 high school bowling season that the Lady Tornadoes bowling team advanced to the State Tournament. During the 2006-2007 season, junior bowler Elyse Hendricks qualified for the event as an individual.

 

Sophomore bowler Abby Parry was the leading scorer for the girls this year at sectionals with a six-game total of 1135. Junior bowler Emma Eyer helped push the team into State contention with the THS girls high individual game of 227, bowled during the sixth and final game.
