The Taylorville Girls knocked off the Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs on Friday night with a 58-25 victory. Kyleigh Heimsness poured in 18, Addison Tarr and Mazie Fleming also contributed heavily with double digit points and the Apollo Conference Champion Tornadoes improved to 9-0 in conference play. Heimsness was named the Brandon Bible Country Financial Player of the game.
Taylorville girls plays Mt. Vernon tomorrow at the Dolph at 3 PM. Taylorville Boys play Pana at 7 PM for the Battle of Route 29 and the Coal Miners Trophy. The girls wrap up their season on Tuesday night at Mount Zion.
