Sullivan School District has cancelled the rest of their football season due to low student participation. According to a message on Sullivan’s School District Facebook page, all remaining varsity football games will be cancelled.  A JV schedule and freshman games will be played if the opportunity is available and the school will find ways to have the band and cheerleading squad participate in front of crowds. 

There will be a game scheduled on Homecoming but it will not be a varsity contest. The School District says that it was a very difficult decision but that they made the decision out of the best interests of the program and the current student athletes.

Sullivan was 0-2 with heavy losses to Nokomis and Newton.
