A new school will be joining the Apollo Conference for this year. By vote, Teutopolis High School has been accepted into the Apollo Conference for all sports, except for football. This will be effective only for the 2020-2021 school year. This move helps ease scheduling concerns and becomes effective immediately.

Teutopolis will join current members including Taylorville, Charleston, Effingham, Lincoln, Mahomet-Seymour, Mattoon, and Mount Zion. 

According to the press release, Matt Hutchison, Taylorville Principal and President of the Apollo Conference wrote the Teutopolis Administration saying, “We look forward to the competition and sportsmanship that Teutopolis will bring to the conference.”
