The Taylorville girls basketball team will look to kick off the 2016-17 season this Friday night in the opening round of the 23rd Annual People's Bank & Trust Holiday Tournament against Jacksonville at 8pm. 5Th year head coach, Mark Hannant has been involved with the Taylorville program in one way or another for the last 14 years and he says this squad will rely on experience even at the underclassmen level to push this team throughout the year.
Coach Hannant was a guest on Newstalk WTIM's Coaches Show last Saturday morning and says this team will rely on a transition game as opposed to a half court offense, based on the size of the team this year.
