A new look at quarterback last Friday night for the Tornadoes worked out pretty well in their game against Effingham. Parker Stokes, who took over for the injured Brandon Odam at the position last week at Mt. Zion, had a week with the offense to get his game right and lead his team to a 28-19 win over the Hearts.
Head Coach of the Tornaodes Jeb Odam says the game plan was flipped from normal to show off the strengths of Stokes, who typically plays defense only.
Odam says Stokes has been a leader all year and took the position change in stride.
Coach Odam appeared as a guest on Newstalk WTIM's Coaches Show.
